Hey,

Welcome to Block 16 of the #quiltandshine quilt along, hosted by Dawn from Honeybee cloths and myself. This block is all about naming and dating your quilt.

I know I hear you, nothing for weeks, then two block come along at the same time, I sometimes get impatient when waiting for the last block of a quilt along, so I’ve taken that frustration away and here it is

Its never to late to join in with this quilt along, as the patterns will be available forever, but even if the thought of a whole quilt is daunting, maybe choose your favourite block and create a cushion cover or a table runner using just a few blocks.

Block 13 #quiltandshine

Hey,

Today is the release of block 13 of the #quiltandhsine quilt along, hosted by myself and Dawn from Honeybee cloths.

Its never to late to join in with this quilt along, as the patterns will be available forever, but even if the thought of a whole quilt is daunting, maybe choose your favourite block and create a cushion cover or a table runner using a few blocks.

… as 13 is one of those numbers some of feel can bring us bad luck… I thought I’d make a block with a stitched positive quote.

I really love the idea of taking this block and creating a scatter cushion to match

Its a simple design, using stars of any shape and size, and simply stitched in place using free motion embroidery. The words can be added using the same method, or with an embroidery machine.

Block 12 – Hemlock #quiltandshine

Hello, thanks for stopping by to read my blog, today I’m sharing with you Block 12 of the #quiltandhsine quilt along, hosted by myself and Dawn from Honeybee cloths.

This block is all about wildflowers…

Its a beautiful, relaxing block to sit and hand sew,  we all need some time to switch off, and relax.

This blocks also completes the third row

Its lovely to see the quilt come together…
