I love the Dresden blocks, and their versatility.

This is a fabulous size table runner, measuring 21″ x 66″

The Dresden blocks are sewn onto a white background, with hand sewn red binding, to really make this table runner pop.

Father’s Day quilt pattern…

Happy Monday! To celebrate the start of a new week, I’m sharing my free fathers day quilt pattern that I wrote for Craftcotton, using the super sweet liquorice allsorts fabric from Craftcotton

I couldn’t resist using this fabric, as my dad is huge fan of liquorice allsorts, and this quote is something we say over and over again… “give it to dad, he will be able to fix it”, aren’t dads just the best πŸ™‚

As I’ve got older and became a mum, this saying is now “lets see if granddad can fix it!” πŸ™‚

Happy Father’s Day

Free ‘Dinosaur Squares’ Quilt pattern…

I couldn’t wait to use these gorgeous prints and colours from CraftCotton, which have been teamed up with a lovely soft chambray denim effect fabric, to make this super soft and cosy quilt.

This is a simple quilt to make as its made up of mostly squares and rectangles, but creates a stunning effect, which works perfectly with these fabric colours.

This quilt is the perfect size for any single bed or for cosy afternoons in front of their cartoons

Sew Useful…

I’ve been busy working on this really useful Chair back caddy, I’m really pleased the fabrics I chose, they are from the Makoti collection by Stuart Hillard for CraftCotton, using Debbie Shore Pattern from her Sew Useful book.

I fussy cut the panel for the smallest pocket, to really show off the fabric.

I made my own bias binding, from the Makoti collection

I also decided to make my own bag straps from the Makoti colletion and Vliseline interfacing

qrf

This bag is great if you’re short on space, and with all the pockets of different sizes, its so versatile

I used Aurifil thread to make this bag, with Vliseline Interfacing and In R Form as the fusible batting, to give this bag extra strength.
