I made my block using some Island Batik pieces I had in my stash, its a 12″ x 12″ block using Paper Piecing – perfect for some Christmas place mats

  1. I don’t start sewing Christmas projects usually until after Thanksgiving–small ones anyway–a quilt might be started anytime during the year.

  2. I always mean to start very early, but then time flies and by October, I’m starting to feel pressured and in November I’m panicking. Love your placemats..

  4. Ohhhhh…Love it idea of using them for placemats! Yet another creative way to use the patterns in this fabulous book. Hey, I can come over for dinner anytime if you have a placemat for me! LOL!!! Beautiful job!

  5. I start on Christmas projects whenever the mood strikes me!! I have a new pattern for a table topper that I’m itching to try, so I’ll probably start in May or June this year!
