‘My Happy Place’ Row-along…

Welcome to ‘my happy place’ row along, hosted by the extremely talented Marian at Seams to be Sew. Today is the day i get to show you mine… the challenge was to create a row 12″ x 30″ vertical or horizontal to show my happy place…

So… where would i be if i could, where do i feel happy…

Somewhere warm, surrounded by candles and a cheeky glass of wine, but still be able to listen to the kids playing downstairs, yep its that one day a year i get to soak in the bath, full to the brim with bubbles and scented candles all around me – Mothers Day!!

My four boys love to spoil me with bubble bath, bath bombs and candles on mothers day.

These beautiful fabrics were very generously given to us by Northcott fabrics ‘cottons that feel like silk’, head over (after reading my blog of cause) to see all their amazing fabrics, i promise you, you’ll be blown away

I wanted to set the scene to be winter – Christmas time to be precise (my other happy place to be), with snow falling outside the window, and this super soft fabric from ‘enchanted forest collection‘ from Northcott was perfect

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas, with a cheeky bottle of fizz, and i love the fabrics from Artisan Spirit Shimmer 2017 – Peacock By Deborah Edwards  which were perfect for creating my bottle of fizz

 

I used Island batik fabrics from my stash, to add colour to my row, and a very useful pack of 10 coloured threads from Gutermann

And one of my favourite Gutermann threads – metallic silver, for creating bubbles

My candles are scented ‘gingerbread, fir tree, cranberry and cinnamon – can you smell them?
