OMG… I honestly had no idea just how adorable and additive these little postcards could be, this postcard swap is being hosted by Elm Street Quilts
There is a super cute tutorial on their blog, you just have to try, they are really quick, and would bring a smile to anyone who received this in the post
The recipient of my postcard, has to remain a secret, until they have received it. We were given a one word prompt (cant share this either … sorry) to base the design of our post card. I knew which fabric to choose straight away…
I was somehow surprised at how small 6″ x 4″ was, and how quickly this came together. I couldn’t resist doing my favorite blanket stitch, there was something quite cosy about the wadding on the reverse too.
The stitch around the edge, that holds it altogether is a simple zig-zag stitch…
Just to attach my stamp and add my message (cant show you this bit either) and pop it in the post to hopefully make my new postcard swap friend smile
Be sure to check out #esqpostcardswap on Instagram, to see all the other postcards, and don’t forget to add this to your ‘to-do’ list.
